Established in September 2022 at Fauji Foundation Hospital, Rawalpindi, this 230kW solar system
uses 422 Longi modules (545W) with 40kW and 60kW Huawei inverters. The project involved metic
ulous electrical consultancy and installation, significantly reducing the hospital's energy expenses,
ensuring uninterrupted critical operations, and enhancing sustainability within healthcare facilities.
Overview & Challenge
A solar photovoltaic system converts sunlight into electricity and can supply power year-round when sized correctly. The core components are PV panels, a mounting structure, batteries for storage, interconnecting cables, a charge controller to manage charging, and an inverter that delivers AC power for standard appliances. During the day, the panels generate electricity to run loads and charge the batteries; stored energy then keeps things running after sunset or during outages. With proper placement and design, a solar system reduces grid dependence and provides steady, clean power.
