Commissioned in August 2024, the 330kW solar installation at Sitara Flour Mill includes 570 Longi
panels (580W) and three Huawei inverters (115kW). This complete design and installation by RnT
helps the facility substantially reduce electricity expenses, maintain uninterrupted operational
efficiency, and achieve key sustainability objectives.
Overview & Challenge
A solar photovoltaic system converts sunlight into electricity and can supply power year-round when sized correctly. The core components are PV panels, a mounting structure, batteries for storage, interconnecting cables, a charge controller to manage charging, and an inverter that delivers AC power for standard appliances. During the day, the panels generate electricity to run loads and charge the batteries; stored energy then keeps things running after sunset or during outages. With proper placement and design, a solar system reduces grid dependence and provides steady, clean power.
